TimecrimesFearing for his life, an unsuspecting man hides in a device that turns out to be a time machine.  Now he must fight against himself to save the woman he loves.  Timecrimes accurately and engagingly explores the curiosities of self-visitation in one-dimensional time, with plenty of twists and turns.  This film has the rare quality of exploring the psychological motivation of a time traveler who repeatedly interacts with his younger and older selfs.  For more on the psychology of  time travel, see Nicholas Smith’s paper, “Why Would Time Travellers Try to Kill their Younger Selves?” Monist 88 (2005): 388-95.
